Relief RVT's
Need some shifts covered at your hospital and there's no one on staff available?
Call or email us!
We have Registered Veterinary Technicians available that have a minimum of 5 years experience in Day Practice and Emergency.
Our RVT's have been: Live Scanned, Random Drug Testing, and passed Criminal Background Checks.
Save yourself the time and effort of adding someone to your payroll for the random available shift that needs to be covered. Our RVT's work for your practice as Independant Contractors from Animal Encounters, which means that we take care of the payroll taxes and benefits. 
Our rate is $25 per hour.

Continuing Education Courses Available for Veterinary Support Staff
Pet CPR and First Aid Certification Course
This is a must for EVERY person working in a veterinary hospital or as an active animal trainer. The course lasts 2.5 hours. The course includes American Red Cross certification card for Pet CPR & First Aid, and two books with DVD's. Students will also be able to practice CPR technique on our animal manikins. This program can be done at your clinic our our training center. Cost: $75 per student

Avian Handling and Restraint
This class will cover some of the more common species seen in hospital, to include psittacines and raptors. Topic covered will include species identification, anatomy, zoonotic diseases, diet, environmental hazards, humane restraint, grooming, and the importance of behavioral enrichment. Reptile Handling and Restraint
This class will cover some of the more common species seen in hospital, and some of the more eccentric. Topic covered will include species identification, anatomy, zoonotic diseases, diet, environmental hazards, humane restraint, grooming, and the importance of behavioral enrichment. Surgical Instrumentation
This class covers the various surgical instruments used in the veterinary field. Topic wil include identification, anatomy of the instruments, proper cleaning and care. Zoonotic Diseases
This class covers several of the various zoonotic diseases you can encounter working in the veterinary or animal industry. Topics will include etiology, species effected, transmission, diagnostics, protective techniques, and treatments. Large Animal Nursing
This class will cover some of the more common species seen in hospital, to include Sheep, goats, horses and cattle. Topic covered will include species identification, anatomy, zoonotic diseases, diet, environmental hazards, humane restraint, grooming, and the importance of behavioral enrichment. Dental Extraction & Proper Prophylactic Procedures

This class is designed to cover the basics of dental prophylactic procedures as well as a dental extraction lab. Course consists of a power point presentation and a lab. Splinting and Casting Lab
This class will give you the practical experience needed to properly splint and cast limbs.

Suturing Lab
